I'm so excited to announce this group trip to Costa Rica in February 2025. We will be visiting lush green jungle, cloud forests, volcanic hot springs, seeing a diverse range of wildlife, surfing waves and doing loads of adventure activities. We will be staying in 3* hotels throughout the trip and be eating locally. It's going to be an unforgettable adventure.
To make this trip happen, I have teamed up with local travel expert and friend, Mauricio, who will accompany me on the trip around his home country. We have partnered with local suppliers to bring together a truly authentic Costa Rican adventure.
What are you waiting for?
The trip starts in San Jose, the hub of international transport into Costa Rica before transferring to our hotel on the Cerro de la Muerte for a sunrise hike to spot the national bird, the quetzal. We will then begin our journey south to the crown jewel of Costa Rica - Corcovado National Park. On our way, we will stop off at a world famous San Gerardo de Dota Coffee farm to learn all about Costa Rican's booming Coffee industry.
Once we arrive in Golfo Dulce, we will spent the night after a long drive and the following morning head out (by boat) to the remote Corcovado National Park on the Pacific coast known for protecting the largest remaining stretch of rainforest in Central America. We will hike around the park and spend 2 days exploring the jungles, beaches and trails in search of varied wildlife and learn about the native animal species such as coatis, sloths, toucans, wild parrots, turtles, jaguars, birds and more. We will also go snorkelling in untouched coral reefs and chill on sandy beaches.
The trip then heads to Playa Hermosa, a world renowned beach for surfing where we'll catch a beautiful Costa Rican Pacific sunset and take time to relax after a few days adventure. After spending a morning surfing the waves, we will head over to La Fortuna, a quaint town that is as enchanting as the natural wonders that surround it. Here, we explore some iconic natural attractions in Costa Rica, such as hiking around Arenal Volcano, diving into La Fortuna Waterfall, river rafting and relaxing in geothermal baths. We finish off with our final night in San José before setting off back home.
During the trip there will be plenty of walking, water activities, chilling, wildlife spotting. Let's do it the Costa Rican way - 'Pura vida, mae!'
