Day Trips in Dubai
Travelling just 30 minutes from Downtown Dubai, the desert has activities galore.
Fancy some adrenaline? There are numerous tours to take you on a desert safari. Whether you jump in a 4 x 4 to dune bash, navigate slopes on the quad bikes or test your nerve in the dune buggies, there is an experience in the desert to cater to your liking. If adrenaline isn’t your thing or just fancy a more relaxing, accessible experience, drive into the desert via taxi or car and bring a bbq for an evening sunset meal.
Find a group of go-ers and jump on a yacht from the Marina to explore Dubai from the sea. Catch sights of the Burj Al Arab, the old and new Atlantis and the ferris wheel at JBR. Bring lots of food and drinks and the crew might even barbecue for you at sunset. The more people you have, the cheaper the excursion and is totally worth it!
Head via boat through the Musandam Fjords, framed by breathtaking mountain ranges and clear, crisp ocean waves. As you sail, look out for dolphins and jump in for a snorkel at Telegraph Island and Seebi Island. Whether you do a half or full day cruise, this is an epic excursion to get you out of the city.
Take an hour or so journey out of the city to escape the high-rise and city lights and visit Hatta. With a plethora of activities to chose from, you can experience Hatta in a day or head there and camp for a weekend.
Kayak in the dam, take a sunrise hike up the mountains, bike around the trails, or even take your chance at the axe throw. Feeling brave? Shoot down the slip and slide at speeds of 40 to 80km/h and plunge into the waters from a 12-metre platform. Hatta is incredibly underrated but has activities for those willing to take on the adventure.
